Lace up your shoes, grab your camera, and bring your friends because we’re inviting you on a day trip to hike in our very own UNESCO World Heritage Site: Kvarken Archipelago! This event is organized by the Student Union of Åbo Akademi University and ÅAU Sports.
The excursion starts at 11 a.m. at Academill (bus from Strandgatan 2), where we'll take a bus to Björkö, hike the trail called "Bodvattnet runt", and climb the lookout tower “Saltkaret.”
On the way, we’ll stop by Finland’s longest bridge, “Replotbron,” and enjoy a coffee break at Berny’s Restaurant, located at the foot of the bridge. At Berny’s, you'll be treated to a cup of coffee or tea along with a sandwich. Later, during the hike, we will also grill sausages.
We expect to return to Academill by around 5 p.m.

WHEN? Saturday, 28th September. The bus starts 11 a.m. at Academill and returns to the same place approximately 5 p.m.
PRICE? Free for members of the Student Union of Åbo Akademi University and members of ÅAU Sports. For others, the price is 5€.
WHAT TO BRING? Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Bring your own water bottle for the hike and snacks if you’d like.

- Estimated time: In the summertime, the entire loop (4 km) takes approximately 1.5 hours on foot.
The event will be held in english.
The event is not accesible by wheelchair.
